Rofson Associates, Inc. is a direct importer of wooden, paper, plastic and latex disposable products servicing the needs of a variety of marketplaces including Food Service, Janitorial and Health Care worldwide.

Our family held company was started over 35 years ago and our founder, Lou Rofé, was among the first American businessmen invited to China after President Richard Nixon’s historic inaugural visit to open the borders for U.S. trade. This early presence in the Far East enabled us to build a solid foundation and garner relationships that still last today. Rofson Associates, Inc. has established corporate offices in New York, NY and Houston,TX along with wholly owned subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taipei,Taiwan. Family members head all locations, including overseas operations.

Since our inception, it has been Rofson Associates’ mission to be socially responsible and committed to provide our clients the very best products at the most competitive prices, while enhancing our worldwide leadership in imported disposable products. To accomplish this, we work in conjunction with our overseas companies to source the majority of our products. Typically, importers and distributors must use buying agents, consolidators and outside representatives to arrange the purchase and shipment of their products. However, Rofson, through our worldwide presence, has in-house purchasing and logistics, which streamlines operations and ensures quality while helping to keep cost to a minimum.

Through the use of these overseas subsidiaries, Rofson:

a) Sources and deals directly with each respective factory.
b) Negotiates competitive pricing in person.
c) Inspects the factories to confirm that each item meets Rofson’s (our clients’) custom specifications.
d) Ensures each factory’s conformance to health, sanitation and employment criteria.
e) Implements quality control inspections of merchandise prior to shipping, guaranteeing product consistency.
f) Arranges the shipment of merchandise cost effectively not only to the U.S. and around the world, but to our customers as well.

Having worked with factories in the Far East since 1963, we are able to deal closely with them. We speak their language, know their customs and we can therefore relate to their thought processes. This is crucial when ordering custom products and packaging.
